Mani Nickpour, born 1983 in Tehran – Iran, relocated to the Netherlands at the age of seven. There, with the wide range of options available, he was able to further develop his interest for filmmaking.

After extensive number of projects for advertising companies, it was time to work on his own project: a feature length film called Ahriman: Death Before Dying.

Mani’s interest in ancient symbolism and mythology played a vital role in the conception of the story and the overall aesthetics of the film.
